The mission of the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) is to make significant contributions to the economic well being of the people of Illinois in accordance with the law and their philosophy. IDES is a public state agency. Each area of the state has a regional office and local offices to serve the various counties The IDES offers the following services to its clients: * Processes claims for Unemployment Insurance benefits * Match job seekers to employers with job openings * Placement of applicants * Referral of applicants to jobs * Veteran employment service * Employment search workshops * Employment services for migrant and seasonal farm workers * Labor market information The Danville Illinois Department of Employment Security is a partner in the Illinois Employment and Training Center (IETC). The center provides services to dislocated workers, the economically disadvantaged, unemployment insurance claimants, unemployed workers, employed workers wishing to find new jobs, new entrants to the labor force, students, schools and employers.
