CARDIAC REHAB: A medically supervised, progressive exercise program designed for individuals who have had coronary artery bypass surgery, heart attack, been diagnosed with stable angina , or have had subsequent angioplasty surgery. Objectives include improvement of cardiovascular fitness in a safe environment, education of risk factors contributing to CV disease and a return to optimal physical, mental and emotional health. Phase I is for hospitalized patients and includes education and exercise. Phase II begins after discharge from hospital and lasts approximately 8-12 weeks. During each session the heart is monitored continuously. Cardio Pulmonary Wellness follows completion of Phase II. It is designed to help people continue in a positive lifestyle. PULMONARY REHAB: Medically supervised exercise & education program for people with C.O.P.D. to increase exercise tolerance and the ability to do activities of daily living while decreasing symptoms of shortness of breath. Education on C.O.P.D. and breathing exercises taught to limit symptoms of shortness of breath. Program available with physician order.
